I'm more of an observer than a poster on this site. I love to see the creativity ya'll come up with. I may have been one of the first to get one of the new frocks from battlegear and I must say its one of the best I've seen. It even has piping on the skirt and rank on the collar. At least on the staff officer version. What was nice is that you could actually button the lapel back to show the vest and cravat on the figure I put together. Augie also has Confederate staff officer trousers, not on the website yet, but they're real nice. I've dealt with Mickeyes on a couple of custom figures he did for me and I have to say if he used his braiding techique on the sleeves it would be as nice as any sutler could provide. Much better than anything we've seen in this hobby so far. I've always been a true lover of the War Between the States and since buying real relics is so expensive, I've come to love putting together all the uniforms and equipment on the figures. What I'd love to see in this hobby is someone who specializes in Civil War headsculpts. With absolutely no artistic abilities myself, and I've tried, it would be a great addition to all the uniforms available from Battlegear.
