At long last, I think I've finished this figure. I thought I had it done a year ago, in time for JW's 100th birthday, and before Sideshow had theirs out. But I wasn't happy with him - the hat was all wrong, the saber was too big, the shirt wasn't right, and all the other nit-picky stuff. Well, this is probably as good as he'll get by me. The HS is DS with Milliput mustache and some dry-brush gray. The hat is a black plastic cowboy hat from the crafts store, stripped of it's heavy texture, narrowed the brim and shrunk and shaped with a hair dryer. Then painted it buff and made a gold & black hat cord. The shirt is BGT bib-front with the bib removed and black buttons added. The greatcoat and trousers (and suspenders) are BGT with the yellow lining and stripes glued in. The boots are NLM Japanese officer's dyed black, with SST spurs. The saber belt and holster are scratch built with a SST cap box. The saber scabbard is the one I showed in the "Manual of Arms" section, and I think it adds a lot. I also included a still from "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" for those poor uninitiated. It is hands down my all time favorite movie. Maybe someday I'll put Captain Brittles on a horse, but for now he'll be in a case with that Monument Valley background.

Thanks, gents. I consider these high compliments, indeed.
This is my homage, as this movie inspired me to collect and study IW equipment and history, and now 1/6th. I'm giving serious consideration to a horse
(Thunderbolt would do well), but hen I'd need a trumpeter, then another horse, and...! Anybody got a hs for Victor McLaglen or Ben Johnson?
