What's wrong with the 2004 Alamo movie? |

I think I remember postings about the 2004 Alamo movie and that they didn't favor the movie. I just watched it on AMC and I didn't think it was too
bad. I liked the wardrobe and I thought it followed events as accurately as Hollywood felt like making it. I could have thought of someone else to play Davey
Crockett besides Billy Bob Thornton but other than that... I liked it.

Not sure why people didn't like it and I really like it. I think Billy Bob did a fantastic job and if you look at a sketch of Crockett Billy even favors
him. The vest worn by Billy was an exact replica of the Crockett original in the Almao museum. Obviously not worn by Crockett at the Alamo but a nice touch,
none the less.

Uhm I'm pretty sure that History and not movie script. IMO it was/is an excellant movie. I'm recall seeing the vest at the real Alamo and it was stained with blood so I'm thinking DC did wear it. As for Billy B. Thornton as Crockett-- perfect guy for the job, Crockett was a storyteller and not near as flamboyant as his image. That line he delivers "I'm warnin' ya, I'm a screamer" . Heck now I wish I owned it so I could go watch it now
