Rebel soldier moving into position at the Double quick. He has wornout his shoes and is going barefoot. The figure is Hasbro(yes it is a classic collection body) somewhat modified. The head is DID, used to be a paratrooper with a mohawk. Uniform and Rifle are sideshow. Haversack and Ammo pouch are BGT belt buckle, cap pouch and canteen are home made(fimo).

Check out Tony Barton's How to on Sculpting. He is a Master withthis stuff. I usually get it at Michaels Crafts store. Works like sculpy usually near it in the store displays. Fran Valkyrie6

I've thought about doing a barefooted figure but a lot of my figures are old and the ankle joints get lose so I put boots on them to help them stand. The canteen looks like Sculpey to me with wires bent over to run the straps through. It looks like a 21st body but who's head sculpt is that ? The Old Gray Seabee, out.

The head is DID, used to be a paratrooper with a mohawk. The pass thru's on the canteen are made from some wire that I bought at Target. ( there are a couple of different grades- there is a finer grade than this ). I drilled holes and glued them in. I have teeny, tiny drill bits. Seebee, I glued the ankle for better hold and I also used epoxy putty in the hip of the left leg to hold the position. He kept leaning to the right. I have read so many varied accounts of barefoot Confederate troops and few make it to the forum. The challenges are good "bare" feet...I remember someone having a similar bash with some good Sideshow feet that did well. I'll keep it short so folks don't think I have a "foot fetish", but this type of figure presents challenges that you have pulled off well.....Jim

I think it is a little to shiny at this point so I am going to dull it down some. Valkyrie6 Fran
