As you may are may not know, our Achives have dissappeared. I have been in contact with Yuku, about retreiving them. They can be retreived, but the price will be the loss of every post after that date, I have ask them if they could save these post and put them back on after bringing back the archives, they said no, that maybe we could, as I am not a computer guru, I can't. I am still talking with them on this, the red "x's" on some of the photos can not be repaired. I now need everyones input as to forget the archives, keep what we have now, or lose the newer post and get the archives back. Thanks in advance! Mike (And a special thanks to Mark also)

What we need is our own Geek Squad, for which I don't qualify. Hopefully someone can try to save them. But if it comes to a choice of one or the other, I would vote for keeping the most recent. Many of the real old posts had "x"s for photos when I joined. There's fabulous info in both areas, but if something has to be sacrificed, I think it should be the incomplete area. Having said that, is there anyone out there willing and able to try to save the efforts of the cadre that got us here? Sometimes you can find it, and then some folks even request that the old files be deleted. It might be that you will have to have the old ezboard addy instead of the yuku updated versions to find those old threads, and you may have to have an old addy for the pictures directly to find them too. They have archives of all kinds in that site too, not just the one listed directly on the page, so you may have to search the "photos" section, you get the idea. It's not you, as I tried going through the old threads and punching them in myself, but no love I'm afraid, and I ran out of time to try more. Try using the "advance search" link on that listed page. Once you do that, look for the "Internet Archive" link and hit that. http://www.archive.org/index.php I have seen this work for others, but who knows, maybe they just can't be recovered afterall. Funny how the software on yuku tracks for certain key words. Meanwhile, it seems that in the days of EZ, you could request a back and pay for it, or if it was an EZ screw up, you could request a backup for them to make good on, like back in the time of the great EZ Meltdown, but it was warned that you may lose more than recover. Bottom line, I would now contact the yuku help center, and ask them what they know and might be able to do, if anything about this problem now. As a point of reference, as far as I can tell, this problem hasn't happened on the 6D, as not all yuku forums are on all the same servers, so maybe it's limited to certain forums, and they might have a real chance of having backups for those "smaller" forums that share a common server.
