Been lurking for a bit so thought I would post and say hello. I was a member here for a short time many years ago when this board was first began. I was a member of 6th Division at that time also(I guess I still am but I dont go there anymore). I had a HUGE WWII collection and a large variety of other stuff. In '04 I bought a new house and when I moved I put all my toys/figures etc in the basement.....and it filled over 1/2 the basement. It was over-whelming! I kinda got side-tracked into some other interests and decided to sell off my collection of troops. Only thing I kept was my Sideshow Civil War collection. So now, after several years, I've been selling off the other interests and getting back into collecting 1/6th stuff again.....but in a much more limited capacity this time. Past few months I've been picking up vintage GI Joe sets and figures, and the occasional Civil War piece. I have a complete collection of Sideshow BOA sets, plus alot of kit-bashes. Starting to order more of Battle Gear stuff, which I think is awesome. Heres a pic of one of my favorite figures in my collection:





This is a custom John Wayne as Colonel Cord McNally from the movie "Rio Lobo". Took me a very long time to get this guy together. He has a Sideshow head from the John Wayne "Green Beret" figure. Had to switch the head over on a regular body. He has a Sideshow blue shirt, bandana, boots, gloved hands, and sword from the John Wayne "Yellow Rose of Texas" set. The sideshow sword belt is from a US Grant set. The sack coat, pistol & holster, suspenders, and pants are Battle Gear, and the hat is from an Ultimate Soldier Air Cav pilot set.
